As a Recruitment Consultant I am fortunate to meet with people on a daily basis be it candidates, clients and of course my colleagues.

Recently I have met with some candidates who have never had interactions with a Recruitment company previously and have been somewhat nervous and apprehensive about what to expect. By picking up the phone or sending an email you are taking the first step to embarking on your journey to search for a new role and quite frankly it can be daunting.

  1. Support: From the very beginning your Recruitment Consultant will be able to assist you with your CV preparation or provide feedback on your existing one as well as preparing you for interviews. Recruiters will also provide you with feedback every step of the way and will be on hand to reassure you when the nerves kick in.

Truth be told it is not a scary process as the more time you put into developing your relationship with your Recruitment Consultant the more you will get from it. It is vital to keep up to date with your recruiter should your circumstances change (for example your notice period, your location of choice, your salary expectations) so that they can put suitable roles in front of you.
